Bring us to you – home visits with Plym Physio.

Have you ever wondered how different life could feel with easier, more confident movement?

For many people, the idea of travelling to a clinic is enough to put the thought of physio to the back of their minds. Maybe leaving the house feels overwhelming, or your mobility inhibits you from walking too far. Perhaps you don’t drive or dislike like driving in bad weather. These reasons are exactly why we offer home physiotherapy appointments so we can bring expert care to you, in the comfort and privacy of your own home.

You may have someone you care about that needs some extra support however due to mobility challenges and busy schedules, the logistics of getting them to appointments can be too difficult to manage. That’s where where we can step in – as a practical and compassionate solution. Home visits create a space where your relative can feel safe and relaxed and it takes the pressure off them and you. You can have peace of mind knowing that you are choosing support that respects your loved ones’ dignity, independence and comfort.

What to expect from a home visit:

– A full assessment on your mobility, strength and goals

– Hands on treatment where appropriate

– A personalised exercise plan that fits your lifestyle

– Support, encouragement and clear guidance every step of the way

– Practical advice to make everyday movement easier and more comfortable

– Weekly sessions available

This week we interviewed one of our home physiotherapy patients on her experience of having home visits with Plym Physio. We have been visiting Tina weekly for over two years and each appointment begins with a friendly catch up, followed by a personalised exercise session designed specifically for Tina and her goals. Take a look at some of Tina’s answers to our questions.

How long have you been having home visits from Plym Physio?

‘Since 2023, after Alan (her husband) died my mobility started to go downhill. A friend of mine came to visit and she noticed I wasn’t moving around very well. I’ve had NHS physio in the past for a few weeks after coming home after surgery, they helped me learn how to get up off the floor if I fell, but that eventually stopped. My friend called me a little while later and said I’ve found you a home physio, called Plym Physio’.

What is you experience of having physio treatment in your own home?

‘It’s marvellous, and ideal to keep me going. I can’t drive, so this works for me, it’s very convenient’

How has treatment at home benefited you?

‘It keeps me mobile so I can still get around my room and be independent when going to the bathroom. I noticed a difference over Christmas and missed the sessions’.

What would you say to someone who is thinking about having home physio?

‘Do it, you can choose a day and time convenient for you and the session is tailored to you whilst being in your own environment’

Whether your mobility is limited, you have low confidence, or you simply feel safer at home, you still deserve high quality care! If you have been putting off physio because getting to a clinic feels too much, then maybe a home visit is the perfect solution.
